“The West”

In contrast to countries from behind the Iron Curtain - the west of '70 and '80 was associated mainly with colorful fun, lights and mass of electronic games, toys, computers and consoles available on the market. The inhabitants of the Eastern Block looked with envy at the ubiquitous products of technology in the west, which came to them sometimes with a ten-year delay.

While in Poland the most one could buy was a TVG-10 PONG clone, or a similar device made in the USSR or East Germany, at the same time, children in the west could freely enjoy their Commodore computers and Nintendo consoles.
